Product Details

Doxycycline belongs to a group of medicines called tetracycline antibiotics. It is also known as a broad-spectrum antibiotic and may be used to treat a wide range of infections caused by bacteria.

It is also sometimes used to prevent you from catching malaria. It may only be used in certain areas.

Directions

Differing doses may be used according to the type and severity of the infection.

If used to prevent malaria, then one 100mg doxycycline capsule should be taken daily starting 1-2 days before entering the malarious area, all the time whilst there and continued for 4-weeks after leaving the area.
